THE TITANIC ENQUIRY.
DEFENCE OF MR ISMAY
■T CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT LONDON, June 26.
Mr Finlay, in his address, defended the captain of the Titanic from the charge of abdicating order and duty in deference to Mr Ismay's opinion. The evidence proved that it was not intended to make a record passage. There were not the slightest grounds for the suggestion that another life would have been saved had Mr Ismay not entered a boat.
