RAILWAYMEN'S GRIEVANCES.
At a special meeting of the Wanganui branch of the Railway Officers' Institute a resolution was carried supporting the action of the recent delegation to the Minister of Railways, and protesting against the recommendations of the last Railway Committee on the officers' petition not being given effect to. The meeting:. also expressed the opinion that Mr Myers' offer to the recent deputation was totally inadequate to alleviate the pressing needs of the first division. A resolution was also carried warning parents against allowing their sons to enter a service so inadequately naicl, and whose conditions are so much behind other branches of the Civil Setvice.
