THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY.
It is now considered that the serious cleavage in the ranks of the Republicans is greatly improving the chances of the Democrats.
The fight that threatened to rend the Democratic party has ended in the selection of Judge Parker as temporary chairman of the Democratic Convention at Baltimore.
Mr W. J. Bryan threw his influence against Judge Parker, but the latter secured eleven of a majority. The result indicates that Mr Bryan's chances
for the Presidential nomination are slight.
