GISBORNE, June 25. AVith the advent of fine weather the prospects of refloating the stranded steamer Star.of Canada have improved. The tug Terawhiti, with salvage gear, is expected to arrive about 3 a.m., and a start with salvage work will probably be made at daylight. The lightering of the cargo has been carried out briskly all day.
