THE ARMY IN INDIA.
LONDON, June 24. The Pall Mall Gazette says that Field Marshal Nicholson's commission in India means a substantial reversal of Lord Kitchener's policy, and the British garrison will be greatly reduced. There is much military disapproval of the Government's refusal to allow Field Marsha] Nicholson's report to be laid before Parliament.
