HOW A BLIND STUDENT LEARNED GREEK

The new minister of Arbroath Baptist Church, the Rev. T. Holehouse, is blind, and at a soiree in connection with his induction, principal Macgregor of Dimoon College, explained how he took advantage of the educational facilities offered at college. In order to become an accurate Greek scholar Mr Holehouse got relays of students to read to him the Greek Lexicon, and he wrote it all out in Braille type with his own hand. Mr Holehouse has gone to Scotland from a Lincolnshire pastorate. He became blind in his childhood, but now travels with the same safety as those who have their full sight.
