POISONED BY GAS.
CHRISTCHURCH, June 22. George William Sears, storeman, 46 years of age, married, residing at Kidmore street, was found dead this morning on the hearth of the kitchen gas range. He was on his chest, and the gas was turned on full. Since his discharge from the mental hospital in February deceased has been very much depressed owing to ill-health.
