DEATH OF A PRISONER.
WELLINGTON, June 22. Arthur William James Johnstone, who was sentenced on June 7 to three months' imprisonment for vagrancy, died in the hospital to-day, shortly after being transferred from gaol, where he had ben under treatment by the prison surgeon.
