POLITICAL.
MR HANAN OPTIMISTIC
ITS TELEGRAPH—PEBSB ASSOCIATION. DANNEVIRKE, June 22
Mr J. A. Hanan (Minister of Justice) iii an interview with a reporter expressed confidence that the Government wov.'d survive until next election. The pledges given to the caucus in February would not, he thought, be broken. He did not think Liberal members would be so simple-minded and short-sighted to their party and false to the people as to vote with the Opposition. The session would not be a legislative one. If an election took place immediately he was confident the verdict of the people would be in the Government's favor.
