The body of a named Wilson, aged nine, was found in the bush on the roadside at Forrest Hill, with her throat out. There are indications that the girl was brutally murdered. The pony the girl was in the habit of riding to school, returning riderless, led to the discovery. There is no trace of the perpetrators.
