The Federal Government's suit •against the North Atlantic Steamship Conference, which is allegedly operating against the provisions of the Sherman Anti-Trust Act, has begun. The evidence indicated that a combine had agreed to operate with certain ships, 'known as fighting ships, so as to sup- . press the competition of rivals.
