The Archbishop of Canterbury, in a ''letter-.read at two large meetings at the Queen's Hall, said that he considered that the religions aspect of the women's movement was depreciated by dallying unduly with the Parliamentary franchise. Woman's place in the country's life called for far-reaching consideration of the old formulae, which were inapplicable to the facts of to•day. The reaction had elements of greater danger, and should be considered in the light of Christian teach•ing.
