* TPEOM OUE OWN COEEESPONDENT.] The town was very quiet during last week owing to the large number of people attending the Dominion Dairy Show. A clay pigeon match came off on Wednesday in Mr Leyden's paddock, and although the weather was rather ■unfavorable and the wind tricky, the match was very enjoyable. Visitors were present from most of the neighborinn gun clubs. No. 1 handicap was won by Mr Young with a score of nine birds out of a possible 10; No. 2 handicap by J. Dick with a similar score, both men leing on the limit mark; Nos. 3 and 4 fell to the gun of Mr P. Preo. No. 4 was the best match of the series. All the competitors fired from the 12 yards' mark, and the contest was decided on the first barrel.
