Mr' Short is umpire, and Mr Brunette is representing the town, and Mr Manington the coun- , try districts. A lot correspondence was leceiA--ed, chiefly from Rangitikei and Waimarirto property OAvners. objecting to their inclusion in the rating area, mostly on the ground that their port is either Foxton or Wellington. The Rangitikei and Waimarino local ■bodies also forwarded protests against ?Jtyng unrepresented on the Commission and on this' account Rangitikei ignores "the Commission. Mr Hutton opened the case for the Board. At the conclusion of his address he was taken ill, and the Comtmission adjourned till the afternoon.
