A WOMAN DROWNED.
BY TELEGRAPH—PSESS ASSOCIiTIOW. CHRISTCHURCH, June 19. The body of a single woman, named Elizabeth Byrne, a resident of Spreydon, was found on the New Brighton beach yesterday. The inquest to-day failed to throw any light on the tragedy and a verdict of "found drowned" was returned.
