BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION,

WAIHI, June 19. At the mass meeting of strikers last night the speakers were greeted with considerable applause at the conclusion of their accounts of the proceedings at the conference with the Mine-owners' Association held yesterday. In the course of a lengthy address by Mr Semple, he is reported to have stated that the exact position Avould again be discussed by the executive of the Federation, who would decide upon a course of action. He also gave the impression that the light would be confined to W raihi, as the Federation would not call for a general cessation of work in the meantime.
