HASTINGS, June 19. The Hawke,'s Bay Jockey Club's winter meeting opened to-day in fine weather. The coarse Avas in good order, and there was a large attendance. Results :—

Woodlands Hack Steeplechase.—Tyrannic, 1; Rosegrove, 2; Tonderghie, 3. Also ran: Donzel. Mollington, Jessamine, Pukiroa, Makiri, Quandary. Won easily by six lengths; four lengths between second and third. Time, 4.21. Ladies' Bracelet. —Flingot, 1; Prince Eddie, 2; Merrie Lad, 3. Also ran: Manitan, Composed Aurana, Waipuknrau, Raukawa, Morning, Tupaia. Won by four lengths, with half a length between second and third. Time, 2.4. Hawke's Ray Hurdles.—Koran. 1: Stevens, 2 : Paisano, 3. Also ran : Black Northern, Waiputere, Idealism, Elfish. Kauroa. Koran led from end to end and won easily by ten lengths; one length between second and third. Time, 3.51.
