FIRE AT LOWER HUTT.
WELLINGTON, June 18
An eight-roomed house at Lower Hutt owned and occupied by John Weir, was totally destroyed by fire early this morning, the occupants narrowly escaping. The house was insured for £500 in the Guardian, and the furniture for £325 in the State offices.
