WELLINGTON, June 18. A deputation representing butter exporters to Canada waited on Mr W Kennedy, Wellingotn manager for the Union Steam Ship Company yesterday, in reference to allotments of refrigerating space, and pointed out that apprehensions were entertained lest a repetition might occur of last season's experiences, when orders had to be refused from Canada for butter on account of insufficient space being available ; while it was also feared that Australian speculators in space might leave insufficient for New Zealand. The deputation explained that it was impossible to guarantee to fill space six or eiajhi months ahead. Mr Kennedy replied that h ewould refer the matter to his head
