Stewart, an Australian, won the 100 yds. in 10 l-ssecs. and the 220 yds in 23 l-ssecs. at the Scottish championships. The horse show has opened at the Olympia. £13,500 is to be given in prizes. There is a large number of foreign entrants for the international jumping contest, including the Australian horse The Officer.

James W. Ritchie, a city merchant, has divorced his wife (stage name Mary Cr'Av"). James B. Fagan, the dramatic author, was the co-respondent.
