ISSUING VALUELESS CHEQUES.

TIMARU, June 17. iiiomas Docksey ,with several aliases, was remanded to-day for a week on charges of issuing valueless cheques in limaru, and obtaining diamond rings by false pretences in Auckland. Charges of issuing cheques at Christchurch and Port Chalmers will be taken at those places, on prisoner's own confession.

A man who has been in a small way of business in Timaru has.been arrested for issuing a series of valueless cheques on the day he cleared out.
