The programme presented at the Opera House on Monday evening contained a number of interesting pictures, and, as a whole, found favor with tho not over large audience present. A» industrial film descriptive of the herring fishing industry showed various processes connected therewith from shooting the nets to the shipping of the fish, packed in commercial form, to the markets of the world. An excellent scenic film afforded views of'the church of San Michele Maggiore at Pavia, of wonderful architectural beauty and profuse, sculptural adornment. An excellent film of steepleehasins; under National Hunt rutes at Cheltenham was remarkable for the large field and the number of fences and falls shown in the picture, which was followed with interest hy all horselovers amongst those present. Tlie dramatic and comic subjects, in the us^f number and standard bf quality, stp* 1 plied their due share of interest or amusement, and tuneful music was provided by the Lyric Orchestra.
