DOMINION DAIRY SHOW.

TO BE OPENED TO-MORROW.

Preparations are well forward for thft opening of the third Dominion Dairy Show to-morrow. All the ±""iy.

DAIRY PRODUCE has been placed in the new hall, and the exhibition makes a striking display It is probably the best exhibition of its Kind seen in the dominion. Judging was. C4XTl ff to-da? by the grading staff, and owing to the lar^e £ er of entries, it will not be completed until to-morrow morning. AGRICULTURAL DEPARTMENT « EXHIBIT.

The court containing the Agricultural Department's exhibit at the Dominion Dairy Show occupies a considerable portion of the main hall (skating, rink) at the further end from the Princes street entrance. The various sections of this exhibit will be under the charge of the following officers of the. Agricultural Department: Fruit, Messrs Hyde and Stratford; honey, Messrs Jaeobsen and Bowman; Co-operative Exhibits (vegetables and other produce grown by private individuals under the supervision of the Departmental Fields Instructor) Mr Baylis; Moumahaki section (roots and fodder plants, such as !Sfe r beet ' etc-)> Messrs Lonsdale anU Hills; stand of grasses and weeds, Messrs Glasson and Chomley; Hemp Mr Rutherford; Departmental publications, Mr Parry. Mr Parry also has charge of packets of seeds of weeds and other impurities commonly found in grass seed, which may be purchased for purposes of comparison by those who wish to do so. The officers'in charge of the various sections will welcome enquiries from all interested, and will be happy to furnish enquirers with all available information. In addition to sections already mentioned the Departmental exhibit will include Ruakura and Wairanga wines, honey vinegar, mead, bottled fruits, etc. The stasring for the wl 10 le exhibit was arranged by Mr Fitzgibbon, of the Departmental staff. This morning the dairy machinery, to be m motion and driven by a 20-h.p. dynamo, was being erected, and the large hall presented a very busy appearance. All the latest specimens in oil engines and dairy appliances .will be shown and it is expected that the pxi hibition will b9 even better than the fine one of last year. [ THE MONSTER CHEESE. This monster cheese, studded with gold and silver coins, has arrived, and has been placed in the hall containing the dairy produce. . It weighs half a ton. GENERAL. i . The school and district courts, the general produce and farm sections, and other exhibits, are all being arranged, and a particularly good show is expected. ■

The poultry is arriving to-dar and -ill the pens will be occupied before the morning.

The side-show attractions will form a special feature, and special engagements have been made of the Karles family of acrobats, for the Biiou Theatre, also of Professor Schultz, in sensational novelty turns, and of the well-known vaudeville entertainers, Gardiner av<l Le Mar, from John Fuller and Sons', Wellington. .

THE OFFICIAL OPENING

The Prime Minister (Mr T. Mackenzie) will officially open the show at noon to-morrow. Should the weather remain fine there should be record attendances, and the show should easily eclipse its predecessors.
