The Labor resolutions in favor of a six-hour day and a five-day week were described by Mr Andrew Fisher, Federal Prime Minister, as a modest ideal. Asked if he agreed with the_resolutions he replied that an eminent person had once said, "Hitch your waggon to a star," and added that he believed in trying to reduce the drudgery of life.
