PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN.
THE CHICAGO CONVENTION
BOTH SIDES CONFIDENT
BY CABLB-PRESS ASSOCIATION-COPYRIGHT.
NEW YORK, June 8
The control of the Chicago Republican Convention is problematical. Both campaign managers claim a victory. Indications appear to favor Mr Roosevelt, whose forces secured admission to the Press Convention, although President Taft's managers were opposed. The fight rages before the National Committee over 96 contestant votes. President Taft requires 204 out of 226 contestants, of which an analysis reveals that President Taft is assured of 120 and Mr Roosevelt 10.
