At the Westfifcld yards (Auckland) on Wednesday fat cattle were yarded in less numbers than usual, and at the start of the sale prices were the same, and improved somewhat as the sale proceeded. Oxen sold at 26s for best quality ; others, 23s to 25s per 1001b.; cows and heifers, 20s to 23s per 1001b. Steers sold at from £6 17s 6d to £13 10s; cows, £4 10s to £8 10s; heifers, £5 to £7 12s 6d.
