THE GAMBLERS FINED. Bff TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION. __ _,- , AUCKLAND, May 20. At the Police Court to-day thirtyeight Chinese- made an appearance as tne result of the recent raid by the police. Ting Hi'ng, charged with being the occupier of premises used as ? common gaming house, was remanded on bail. Jim Wong and Ah Lee were also adjudged principals, inasmuch as they assisted in the management of the premises. The latter, who is only a new arrival, was fined £2, whilst the charge against Jim Wong was reduced to one of being found in a common gaming house. He was fined £1. The remaining thirty-five were charged with being found in a common gaming house, and were each fined £1.
