SCHOOL AND COUNTRY LIBRARIES. ■T T_L_GBAPB--PR_BS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, May 16. A deputation waited on the Minister for Education to-day with resolutions passed at the recent Libraries Conference, emphasising especially the needs of school and country libraries, and advocating a Library Commission to spend the money annually voted by Parliament. Mr Hanan said the present position was not satisfactory and could be improved. Primary education was the first necessity, and, that assured, they would proceed further. He would go into the matter and bring it before Cabinet.
