Mr Foster, the chairman, stated that he thought the time had come for the Federal Government to take hold of, all production with a view to giving better facilities for marketing at home aud abroad. AVitnesses declared that the opposition of Chinese gardeners and importation from Fiji made growing bananas unprofitable.
