DUNEDIN, May 15. In the Supreme Court to-day tne jury disagreed in the case in which Margaret Parker was charged with sly grog selling at St. Kilda. Accused'will be retried to-morrow.

CHRISTCHURCH, May 15. At the criminal sittings AA 7illiam FTapling and AVilliam Davies were acquitted on a charge of carnally knoivmg a girl uuder the age of 16 years. Ernest Edmond Needham, for'forging and uttering a cheque for £5, was sentenced to 30 months' imprisonment. Sadler was convicted of unlawfully using an instrument, and sentence was deferred.
