DIES SUDDENLY IN HAMBURG.

BY CABLE—PEESS ASSOCIATION—COPYEIGHT. LONDON, May 15. The King of Denmark died suddenly during the night. He had been staying at the Hamburgerhef Hotel at Hamburg since Monday. The cause of death was heart failure.

[King Frederick VIII. of Denmark was born on June 3, 1843, and succeeded his father, King Christian IX., on January 29, 1906. He married the daughter of the King of Sweden in July, 1869, and they have had seven children. The second son, who married Princess Maud of Great Britain in July 1896, is now King Haakon VII. of Norway. King Frederick, who was a brother of Queen Alexandra, and therefore uncle of George V., will-be succeeded by bis son, Prince Christian, who was born on September 26, 1870.]
