THE TAILORS' STRIKE
EAST END DEMANDS. - 8Y CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. (Received May 15, 9.15 a.m.) LONDON, May 14. The West End tailors are gradually returning to work, but those in the East End demand a ninerhours' day, less 1£ hours for meal time, day work instead of piece work and improved workshops accommodation. The Amalgamated Tailors' officials adhere to their refusal to countenance the strike.
