An appeal for a contribution towards a fund for the purchase of pictures for a national art gallery was referred to the annual meeting. Wellington Rugby Union wrote asking that as the amount of £400 had been half paid oif, the committee should consider j-the question of reducing the rate of interest from 3 per cent, to 2-i per The amount outstanding is £195.
