DEATH FROM SCALDING

The six-year-old son of Mr Boylo, of Patea^ died at the Patea Hospital on Saturday night as the result of scalds due to falling into a copper full of hot water. The" copper, it seems, was fitted with a lid, and the child climbed upon it in an endeavor to reach some marbles on a shelf, and the lid tipping up, allowed the child to fall into the hot water.
