In brilliant weather the King, aboard the Neptune, led the battle squadrons and opened the fight. The submarines attacked the flagship. There were.some marvellous evolutions by the hydroaeroplane, and excellent big gun practice by the Orion, which made twentyone hits out of twenty-eight rounds at 600 C' yards with 13.5 in. guns.
