MEETING OF CITIZENS.

The- Hawete Chamber of Commerce invites the citizens of Hawera to attend a _piiohe meeting to be held at the Technical School on evening, to consider the question of the Opunake railway and Tramway. The chairmen of several of the outside railway leagues and Mr G. Y. Pearce, M.P., are expected to be present, and the idea'is to obtain an authoritative expression of the opinion of the town, with a view to submitting it to the Commission, which will sit in Hawera on Tuesday.
