PROPOSED VISIT TO AUSTRALIA

MELBOURNE, Jan. 31. A suggestion has been made that the Minister of Defence invite the Prince of Wales to spend some time in Australia as an officer of an Australian regiment. The Minister has pointed out, however, that the Prince is going to South Africa to serve, in a British regiment, but as there are no British i-egiments in Australia the suggestion to come here would not carry the same weight.
