Trades Unions strongly disapprove of the decision of the Thames Iron Works' employees to sacrifice half their November advance wages in order to enable the company to secure Jiie-jjon tracts for two cruisers. The executives of the Carpenters and Joiners', Engineers and Boiler-makers', and Shipwrights' Trades Unions have intimated to their members working at the Thames Ironworks, that, they would not be allowed to accept wages below the rates prescribed for the London district.
