Albert Reeves, at Norwich Assizes, pleaded guilty to murdering his son, and he called evidence to rebut the prison doctor's testimony that he was insane, as he desired to be punished. The jury agreed that the accused was fit to stand his trial, despite Judge Channel's contrary opinion. Reeves was sentenced "to death.
