MR SHUSTER'S VIEWS

A Persian committee banqueted Mr Shuster, who attributed his dismissal to Russian hostility, wliich from the first had thwarted his efforts to reconstruct the Persian finances. Either, he said, the Russian and. British Governments intended to destroy all hope of Persia's regeneration or the Governments were continuously and grossly misinformed.
