LADIES' FOUR-OARED RACE.

SYDNEY, Jan. 29. For the first time in the history of Australia an inter-State four-oared race for ladies was held. It was rowed in clinker boats, with sliding seats, and provided a hot contest and a great finish, Queensland defeating Victoria by a couple of feet.
