• PEKIN, Jan. 28. A young Chinaman threw two bombs ty General Chang-Huich-HiE, commandant of Tientsin, wrecking his brougham. The assailant was captured after shooting a ppliceman with a revolver.

Chang-Huich-Hih, who. is a stern opponent of the revolution, was unharmed.

Liang-Pi, ex-Commandant of the Imperial Guards, suspected of advocating an attack on Chinese, alighting near his residence, was the victim of a bomb which was thrown, fracturing his leg. He is in a critical condition. The bomb-thrower was killed.
