PERSONAL ITEMS.

Mr A. McKenzie, who was formerly general manager for the Joll Company's factories, left for Gisbovne this morning, where he has accepted another appointment.

The funeral of the late Mr Wm. Armstrong, Commissioner of Crown Lands for Taranaki, took place at New Plymouth on Sunday, the interment being at Te Henui cemetery. Amongst those wlio paid their last respects to deceased were the mernlers of the Taranaki Land Board, of which the late Mr Armstrong was chaixman, and the officers of the Land and Survey Department.
