PATEA.

Mr ODea on Monday (writes a correspondent), in company with the Mayor of Wanganui (Mr C. E. Mackay) and Mr Alan Robinson (member of the Wanganui Charitable Aid Board) visited the Jubilee Home for aged men and women at Aramoho, and was hospitably entertained by the manager and his wife (Mr and Mrs Allen). He spoke to the inmates for about twenty minutes on old age pensions and kindred matters. At the request of several of the inmates he spoke also on the, subject of old soldiers' claims, and his remarks were loudly applauded by those present. Mr ODea speaks to-night to a public meeting in the Aramoho boat shed. He is assured of very strong support in that district.
