INSTRUCTIONAL CAMP.

WAIROA, Aug. 18. Some members of the Wairoa contingent to the instruction camp at Palmerston had a trying experience on their return journey. Reaching Napier on Monday, they found that there was no steamer, and decided to walk, a distance of eighty miles. A party numbering seven left Napier at 6.40 on Wednesday morning. Two reached Wairoa at 8.36 last night, and the rest come on to-day.
