HOCKEY.
The following will represent Hawera A team against Kaponga on Thursday, at Hawera: McKoy, Kemp, Rauch, Macdougall, Thomson, B. Williams, Day, Foden, Sargent, Knight, Tait. Stratford have now won the Southern Division and will probably meet Inglewood, the winners of the northern end, on August 17. Arrangements are being attempted for Stratford to meet a combined Hawera team prior to this match.
On Wednesday, August 9 the North and South Taranaki match will be played, and the picked team will travel the following morning to play Wanganui in the Nordon Cup. The winners of this match play off with Thames and the winners of the second match play Manawatu for the North Island premiership.
