BARQUE IN PERIL.

MELBOURNE, Aug. 2. The French barque Neilly, from Dunkirk to Noumea, put in for repairs. She was damaged and sprung a leak in gales off the Cape of Good Hope 25 days ago. She was kept afloat by constant pumping. Only the bulkhead saved her from foundering. There were 15ft. of water in her forepeak on arrival. The crew had a trying time.
