PEOPLING THE PACIFIC.
BRISBANE, Aug. 2. Professor MacMillian Brown returned from his visit to the Solomons. As a result of investigations, he is of opinion that the Solomons form the key to the question of peopling the Pacific. They presented a type of European faces among the natives, which showed that a light-haired European race had gone into the Pacific.
