SUICIDE.

AUCKLAND, Aug. %1. \ Mrs Mary Nelson, a widow, age I 45 ; resident at Mt. Roskill, committed suicide by inhaling gas fumes. Her nephew found her covered with a rug and her head on a pillow on the floor of the kitchen, there being evidences that she had used the gas tubing as an agency of seif-destruction and the rug to confine the fumes while she inhaled them. She had been in ill-health for some time.
