MAYORALTY OF CHRISTCHURCH.
CHRISTCHURCH, July 31. At a special meeting of the City Council to-night Mr J. J. Dougall, deputy-Mayor, was unanimously elected Mayor.
The candidates selected for the Christchurch North seat are Rev L. M. Isitt (No-License candidate) and Mr J. D. Hall (Opposition1). The Labor Party will meet on Friday to consider the matter of the selection of a candidate.
